The silly season is in full swing! Typical fall days, no rain, fall migrants are busy doing their thing. One pelagic trip to 11 miles west of Eel River by the HSU Ornithology Class found smaller than expected numbers of most species, a legacy, no doubt, of the upwelling failure this summer. Many fall migrants seemed to arrive or pass through a few days earlier than normal.
