A note from Sue Calla:

We had a great turnout yesterday (Saturday, June 11) in Del Norte for Gary Bloomfield’s field trip … 29 adults and 4 children.

We are fortunate that the lagoon level has stayed high this summer after never closing last year ... it's currently at eight feet mean sea level.

Early to Mid-July (on calm days) should be great for scoping the grebe's floating nests from Cadra Point.

There is much interest here from beginning birders.
