President’s Column
The Summer is coming quickly and with it our annual summer hiatus. Some of our chapter functions will continue such as the Field Trips and the Conservation Committee. After our June Conservation meeting, shorebirds will be returning and then it will be vagrant landbird season in August and September.
We are looking for new people to direct this chapter into the future. Please consider joining the Board of Directors. We especially need a new president-elect. This person has a year to learn how the board operates and then serves as President for a year and as Immediate Past President for a year. It is an truly rewarding job working with some great co-directors. Are you interested? Call Elias at 826-2758.
At the next members’ meeting, we will host an informal discussion on what members would like this chapter to accomplish. Please join us for this important event. If you can’t make it, but still have good ideas about the future of RRAS, contact Elias at 826-2758.
