Redwood Region Audubon Society (RRAS) has a part-time grant-funded position available immediately for a person to coordinate habitat restoration along part of Eureka's Bay Trail. The project involves working with RRAS to establish a monthly volunteer work day during which invasive plants (and trash) will be removed, and native plants encouraged, along Wigi Wetlands, a section of the Trail behind the Bayshore Mall. The coordinator will work with RRAS volunteers, Eureka City Staff, and other entities to ensure necessary equipment is on site, will be present and help on work days, and will develop publicity.

The project will require about 8 hours per month, for 10 months, and the coordinator will receive $12/hr. Work days will be held the fourth Saturday of each month, including summer months.

To apply, submit a one-page letter of interest, including relevant experience, to RRAS through the “Contact Us” link on our webpage, RRAS.org, or by mail to PO Box 1054, Eureka, CA 95502.
